Being at your best is undeniably challenging today. The truth is we know so little about the brain and mind – and that makes being at your best even more difficult. The good news is that Life Environments is changing this.

Your mind and body are your most important wellness assets. Keeping both able to manage and heal both themselves and you is the undisputed pinnacle of your wellness strategy. Most erroneously believe physical activity is the best you can do for your health. They are always surprised to learn just how influential the brain and mind are to overall health. The truth is that your mind and body influence your wellness and illness more than any other element. They are key!

Believe it or not, anxiety, fear and stress are the primary forces shaping your life today. Stress is linked to almost every non-traumatic disease as either a causal or aggravating factor. The average person has six cancer attacks in their lifetime. Just one of them ends millions of stories early every year. Stress destroys immune systems - and people by extension. If you have hypertension, diabetes or depression, you have already been damaged by stress. The fact is stress is a killer. Managing it properly is essential to wellness and living.

Here are a few important numbers to consider. Anxiety disorders affect about 32% (8.3% with severe impairment using DSM-IV diagnostic criteria) of all children between the ages of 13 and 18 years of age. Females experience significantly higher rates of any anxiety accounting for 38% of the 13 to 18-year-old population as compared to 26.1% of all males in the same age group. The average age of depression onset is now 11 years old in America. The first signs of anxiety are observed commonly by physicians in 5 to 6-year-old children. Suicide is now the leading cause of death for youths aged 10-24 years. More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease combined.

So, what is stress and what causes it? Each of us reaches points where life becomes too much to handle – something’s bugging us. This is perfectly normal. When this happens, we become physically tense and uncomfortable – the first signs our bodies are responding to something adverse for some reason. We feel different. We’re stressed. When we’re bothered by something, our bodies both alert and protect us thanks to an emotion called stress. But what is stress? In 1971, British psychologist Jeffrey Gray defined anxiety, stress, and fear within the context of a single emotion referred to as stress. We use the term stress interchangeably to describe anxiety, stress, and fear.

Your wellness routine helps you keep your mind, body and internal systems operating at their best and most able to inhibit illness most effectively. In a culture that seeks wellness in pill form, the reality is that pharmaceuticals have a dismal record of helping anything that lives in our heads. New thinking is required.

Research reveals that calmer patients experience clearly superior clinical outcomes; their minds and bodies simply work together better. Life Environments developed our aural technology originally to help patients undergoing and recovering from medical procedures with fewer psychoactive drugs. We looked to the remarkable power of nature's experience because of its ability to inhibit stress safely and naturally – and far better than drugs can. Nature doesn't merely make you feel better, it changes your mind and brain processes in important ways. Nature is the most effective antidote to anxiety and stress because of how it interacts with our brain and mind. Nature is also safe, effective and affordable - and developing a nature habit is simply awesome!

Life Environments is tapping the cognitive wellness power of nature's experience to inhibit stress and refresh the centers of the brain and mind in exciting and innovative ways. We are transforming breathing exercises to help people lower blood pressure, improve depression, reduce insomnia, IBS, autoimmune disease, high blood sugar and more better. We have developed a fascinating and engaging life course that reveals the true nature of stress while helping people manage it smarter and build lives they love.

Life Environments is pioneering new technology that delivers the best possible wellness solutions in ways that matter most - solutions you actually want to use! It’s what we do for you.

Here's to living your best life!
